Overview

Both grinding and deburring are finishing processes used in the production of goods and materials. While grinding uses a grinding wheel or grinder to remove large amounts of material and smooth down the surface of a workpiece, deburring commonly uses deburers, grinders, files, brushes or sanders to remove sharp or raised edges known as burrs left by the initial machining stage.
